While our practice provides primary care for all ages, including wellness/prevention care and sick care, we also focus on women’s care, chronic and short-term illnesses and several other health-related concerns. Services We Provide:
Physicals: An annual physical or wellness visit is a yearly appointment to see your doctor, address any health concerns and discuss preventative measures for your future. All ages are recommended to have a yearly appointment. This annual visit in an important part of your health care.
Sick visits: A sick visit is an appointment with your provider to address new or worsening symptoms or health complications. Same-day sick visits are available for current patients.
Some reasons you may need a sick visit are:Sore throat or bad cough
Stomach ache, vomiting, constipation, or diarrhea
Fever
Dehydration or loss of appetite
Bad headache or earache
Unexplained pain anywhere in the body
Lethargy/fatigue
Chicken pox or another contagious illness
Severe allergic reaction to food or insect bites
Swollen arms or legs
Hives or a skin rash
Stiff neck or swollen glands
Routine child and adult immunizations (vaccinations): Vaccines can prevent infectious diseases that could affect you or your child's health. Without vaccines, your child is at risk for getting seriously ill, suffering pain, disability, and even death.
It is always better to prevent a disease than to treat it after getting it.
Vaccination is a highly effective, safe and easy way to help keep your family healthy.
On-time vaccination throughout childhood helps provide immunity before children are exposed to potentially life-threatening diseases.
Vaccines are tested to ensure that they are safe and effective for children to receive at the recommended ages.
Women's health: Women's health services include all aspects of primary care listed on this web page but also incorporates specific services, such as breast exams, annual gynecological exams, birth control prescriptions.
A gynecological exam will include a physical exam and screenings, such as pap smear, HPV or screening for sexually transmitted infection screening, if needed.
Management of chronic conditions: A chronic condition is a health condition or disease that is long-lasting in its effects. The term chronic is often applied when the course of the disease lasts for more than three months.
Chronic conditions include:Diabetes
Obesity
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Mental health (i.e. anxiety, depression)
Mental health care: In addition to monitoring and treating mental health concerns, such as anxiety and depression, we also have a clinical psychologist as part of our medical team. The psychologist provides more in-depth mental health assessments and counseling.
Preventative screenings: These are performed to check your health status and keep you healthy. Some examples are cancer screening, depression screening, diet and obesity counseling, testing for sexually transmitted infections, and blood tests. You may have blood tests to check your blood sugar, A1C, cholesterol, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, and other important measures of health.
Minor in-office surgical procedures: These include joint injections, removal of skin lesions, skin biopsies, simple laceration repair, colposcopy, and more. If you are in need of a certain procedure, check with your doctor or call our office directly.
