Well Child/Physical Examinations

All well child appointments are scheduled in advance and are an opportunity to see how well your child is growing and developing. Below is our well child visit schedule:

  • 1 month

  • 2 months

  • 4 months

  • 6 months

  • 9 months

  • 12 months (1 year)

  • 15 months

  • 18 months

  • 2 years

  • 2 ½ years

  • 3 years

  • Yearly visits after 3 years of age

*Please check with your insurance company to verify that wellness visits, additional visits and additional screenings are a covered benefit for your plan.

During these appointments, you and your provider will discuss your child’s growth, developmental milestones, guidance regarding care for your child and a discussion of protecting your child from serious contagious illnesses with vaccinations. These appointments are also a great opportunity to address any of your parental questions and concerns.

UBMD Primary Care utilizes Bright Futures Parent Handouts at each well child visit. Bright Futures is a national health promotion and prevention initiative, led by the American Academy of Pediatrics and supported, in part, by the US Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). We believe childhood vaccinations are important. Click here for more information and directions on how to download the CDC childhood vaccine app that you can add right to your smart device.
